Why We Built This Site
Wisconsin provides several public routes to justice records, but each one answers a different question. The Rusk County Sheriff's Office maintains its law-enforcement records and dated jail roster. The Clerk of Circuit Court holds the filed charges, docket events, dispositions, and sentences for Rusk County Circuit Court cases. The Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau supplies statewide criminal-history checks through the Wisconsin Online Record Check System. Custody and supervision information comes from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, while its Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry serves a separate public-safety purpose.
